A Personal Profile & Statement

Roger Dickie, Managing Director of Roger Dickie New Zealand Limited, graduated from Massey University in 1971 (Bachelor of Agricultural Science). He is married to Mary-Ann and they have four children.

Through his family interests Roger owns farming and forestry land in the North and South Island and is involved in coastal property development in Hawkes Bay and Taranaki. His principal farming interests are in Awatea Farms. This business owns 1,050 hectares of predominantly flat land at Waverley in South Taranaki. The main business of Awatea Farms is the farming of 3,900 cattle.

Roger has been involved in farm, forest and property management for 30 years, he owns and pilots a light aircraft enabling him to actively manage and service his business interests throughout New Zealand.

Private and syndicate forests and farms promoted and co-ordinated by Roger Dickie have been structured to ensure independence between the Promoter, the Consultants and the Field Managers. All persons involved in management and operations are fully accountable to the the investors.

Since 1971 Roger Dickie has established 84 forests for partnership and private investors with a total managed area of more than 26,000 ha (66,000 acres).

Roger Dickie has also offered other rural based investment properties for his investors. Dairy and Sheep & Beef Farming were selected as being rural investments that generally offer the opportunity of improved returns by using targeted stock management practices and with good prospects of capital growth in the land value over time.
