Salmon River Forest Partnership

Salmon River Forest Partnership was the 39th forest established by Roger Dickie. In 2003 Salmon River had an estimated net stocked area of 184.6 hectares.

The Salmon River Forest Partnership was created in June 1994. Planting of the property took place in the winter of 1994. Harvesting is forecast to commence in 2021.

Salmon River Forest is situated at Te Reinga in Northern Hawkes Bay. The Hereford Forest Partnership is part of the 2,282 hectares of Ruakituri Station located 75 km South West of Gisborne on Ruakituri Valley Road of No.36 State Highway. Salmon River Forest is one of the nine forest partnerships on Ruakituri Station. Ruakituri station bounds the Wairoa and Ruakituri rivers
